About the event
Don't miss this amazing opportunity to learn from Máire Ní Chathasaigh in Chicago! Classes are available for intermediate to professional harpers. Please expand the schedule and class descriptions on this page, and read carefully before you make your purchase.
Máire is a living legend of Irish traditional music, as evidenced by her recognition over twenty years ago as a recipient of the Gradam Ceoil. More recently, she was featured alongside her sister Nollaig Casey in an episode of the Irish television series Sé mo Laoch, a documentary program dedicated to biography of the most significant living players of Irish music. Her work restored the harp as part of the living tradition. Her contribution as a performer and teacher is truly inestimable.
